Professor. Hamdy Hassanein, Dean of faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development, opened the first training course of sustainable development, dedicated to the promotion of the staff members and graduate students and obtaining scientific degrees, in the hall of the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center, in the presence of a number of staff members and their assistants and master’s and doctoral students in accordance with the approval of the Sohag University Council No. 190 dated 2/27/2023.
The duration of this course is 10 training hours divided into two days, January 3-4, 2024, during which Dr. Hamdy Hassanein will present with the participation of the center’s members, represented by Dr. Imad Samuel, Vice Dean of the faculty of Education, Dr. Nada Abdel Mohsen, Professor of Immunology and Microbiology at faculty of Medicine, Dr. Abdel Aleem Saad, Head of the Department of Botany protection at faculty of Agriculture.
This course includes an introduction to Egypt’s Vision 2030, concepts of sustainable development, elements and goals of sustainable development, obstacles and challenges facing its implementation, in addition to clarifying examples of environmental, health, agricultural, educational, and green entrepreneurship sustainability and the extent of the achievement achieved by the Egyptian state in it, as well as the contribution of Sohag University in achieving this.
At the end of the course, an accredited certificate will be given to the students.
