Sohag University President receives the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation Award for the Best Scientific Production Serving Sustainable Development

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, received the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd International Foundation Award for Best Research Works, “as the University won the award for the Best Scientific Production Serving Sustainable Development,” during the ceremony organized by the Foundation under the auspices of the League of Arab States and the Ministry of Social Solidarity of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector, Dr. Amr Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Issa Al-Ansari, President of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, and members of the Board of Trustees and representatives of the universities that won the award. A large number of officials and prominent figures, and those interested in the field of volunteer and development work, amid great media interest, at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

Al-Nomani expressed his great pride in the university winning this award, which proves that the university possesses distinguished scientific cadres capable of competing in the field of global competition in research, leadership and innovation.

This award comes as a culmination of its goals and plans in charting real milestones that pave the way for scientific research in the field of development. Sustainable Development, offering sincere thanks and appreciation to the League of Arab States, the Arab Volunteer Union, and the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd International Foundation for their contribution to supporting and highlighting scientific research work, in addition to creating fair competition and encouraging distinguished ideas and initiatives that contribute to the development of societies.

Al-Numani stressed that this victory represents a milestone for a new phase of development of the university’s research projects, expanding the scope of its services, and continuing to support and implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

He extended his thanks to the university’s staff members for the effort made to achieve this victory
